Foundational Skills for Private Training Success
Every Day School session reinforces sit, down, stay, leave it, drop it, and recall. These building blocks accelerate progress in private or group obedience classes — because we make drills fun so your pup loves to train, all while you’re at work, running errands, or relaxing.
Sit, Down, Touch — the core cues that shape everyday good manners.
Come, Stay, Leave It — building responsiveness and self-control.
Lure/Reward training to encourage confident, enthusiastic learning.
Day School skills feed directly into your one-on-one or group class work.

We provide bowls, bedding, and sanitation supplies on site, so you don’t have to pack extras.
Absolutely. Day School supercharges private lessons by embedding the same exercises into your dog’s daily routine here.
Puppies and adolescents needing structured enrichment, foundational skills, and confidence building. Reactive or fearful dogs may begin with a private plan first.
Puppies: 10 weeks to 4.5 months. Adolescents/Adults: 4.5 months to 5 years.
Puppies under 16 weeks participate with controlled exposures appropriate to their vaccine stage. Senior dogs (>5 years) may be better served by a customized private plan for comfort and pacing.
We follow an age‑appropriate, vet‑guided standard. You will receive a checklist in your welcome email, but typical requirements include: DHPP (on schedule for age), Bordetella, Rabies (by ~4 months as required locally), a recent negative fecal, and up‑to‑date flea/tick prevention. Dogs must arrive healthy and free of contagious symptoms.
Dogs must be safe for handlers and able to participate without chronic distress. A history of serious bites (breaking skin), active aggression toward people, or severe separation‑distress may require a private behavior plan first. Dog‑dog reactivity is evaluated case‑by‑case; many dogs start with private sessions or solo Day School before joining small groups.
We cap enrollment to keep learning personal, targeting a low ratio (typically 1 trainer for every 3–4 dogs). Dogs are grouped by age, temperament, and training goals to ensure calm, productive sessions.
Provide 24 hours’ notice to reschedule without penalty. Late cancellations or no‑shows may count as a used session. Illness exceptions apply—please keep sick pups home and we’ll arrange a credit or make‑up. Weather or trainer illness results in an automatic reschedule or credit.
It’s a structured, 3‑hour learning block where puppies and adolescents work on foundation skills, confidence, and enrichment under a certified trainer—pairing short training reps with rest, play, and calm settling.
Weekdays, with drop‑off at 9:00 AM and pick‑up at 12:00 PM. Please be timely—late pick‑ups over 10 minutes may incur a fee.
Each dog has individualized goals, short focused training sets, guided play/social exposure, and decompression breaks. Progress is logged so skills build week‑to‑week.
